Object Description
Black and white print of a drawing of Santorini, Greece. The left side of the photo is composed of water, with mountains in the background, and the sky above. On the right side, there is a fort built on a rather stony and rough seashore. At the base, there appears to be doors coming directly out of the stone. The fort-like buildings are made of rectangular stones and have large arches for windows. There is a signature in the bottom right corner.
Origin
Santorini was created when a volcanic eruption broke a much bigger island into smaller ones. It became a part of Greece in 1830.
