Object Description
Black and white print of Corfu island in Greece. On the right side of the print, there is the sea with three birds skimming across it. There are also mountains in the distance and clouds in the sky. On the left side is a town. There is a road right by the sea. There is a vertical brick wall that goes from the sea to the road, with a handrail at its edge. The town is made of white houses with rectangular windows with shutters on them. On the left of the print, a man and woman can be seen conversint. One of the buildings appears to be losing its white coat, letting brick show through. The back of the print reads "Renos Ioannides" and has an address in Athens
Origin
Corfu has many castles across its island. Its capital is even surrounded by two castles. It became a part of Greece in 1864.
