Object Description
Crocheted, circular doily. White in color. It has a radial design situated in the center in which lines fan out like a spiral. The edges are adorned with triangle shapes around the entire circumference. The edges have a slightly yellow color perhaps due to time. There is a small black stain near the edge. On the opposite side, there is also a loose thread with a knot near the middle where it appears the maker added new thread to continue the doily.
Origin
This crocheted doily was handmade by Mina Tiftiksis in Myteline, Greece. It is unknown how or when the donor acquired this textile.

Doilies are mostly used as accessories for home decor. They can decorate tables, trays, or even be framed and hung.
