Object Description
Decorative pillow with golden velvet fabric and white lace on top. This square pillow is made of an orange/gold colored velvet. On the top, white lace lays over the the velvet. This crocheted lace has a geometric, repeated design. There are a series of squares with "X"s in them. The lace has a scalloped edge. There are some stains or some type of discoloration on the lace.

The pillow's stitching on the edge is slightly visible. On the back, where there is only velvet and no lace, the fabric appears to be worn down. There are no stains on this side, but there is some a slight difference in its appearance--almost as if the velvet is not completely smooth.
Origin
This pillow was made by Anastasia Tiftiksis, also known as "Mina", around 1950. The pillow was used for home decor.
