Object Description
White table runner with pink and brown embroidered on both short ends. There are pink flowers in the middle, surrounded by pink circles, with a pink border to either side. This is followed by a brown border, then another pink border. On the inside edge, there is another brown border. The white cloth of the table runner itself has a shield with stars and stripes in each corner, with two birds in the middle of the short edges. In the middle of the cloth, there is an eagle that reads "The Independence of the United States of America Declared July 4,1776" above it and "Washington Elected President of the Federal Union 1789, E Pluribus Unum"
Origin
The United States declared independence from Britian on July 4, 1776. The Declaration of Independence listed the wrongs done to the colonies by the British King, in the hope of explaining not only to Britian, but also to the world, why such a declaration was needed.
