Object Description
Tablecloth, square, cream crocheted. There is a big flower in the center with a smaller, four-petaled flower inside of it surrounded by a circle. The big flower is surrounded by a square with circles in each corner that contain four flowers. Outside of this square, there is a border with diamond shapes in it. A tag is stapled on the back that seems to be for a store in Chicago, though the beginning of some of the letters has faded off. The tag also has a "BX", "19", and "L."
Origin
Crochet is done by using a small hook to make interlocking designs out of yarn or thread. It is different than knitting in that it only has one stitch open at a time, while knitting has rows of stitches open at the same time.
