Object Description
Blanket has horizontal rows of red and beige on a blue background. The red lines have short vertical lines in groups of six and one. The beige pattern has shorter vertical lines of six interrupted by five squares that form an X. The middle of the blanket is entirely red with the pattern corresponding to the beige and red in the border. There is something cross-stitched onto the blanket in the middle in beige and light pink. In the middle, there is also a seam. The edges have a wave-like quality, where the beige lines stick out more than the red ones. On the opposite side is the inverse design, with the blue being more prominent.
Origin
The donor's mother-in-law brought this blanket with her when she came to the United States in 1906 from Kosmas, Greece.
