Object Description
It has a white strap and side edging of yarn. The heavy black material is embroidered in yellow with designs of an amphora and an oenochoe (also spelled oinochoe) between two Greek Key design stripes. The same design is repeated on both sides of the bag. It has a black lining on the inside. The yellow Greek Key design is above and below the oenochoe and amphora design.
Origin
An amphora is a type of container used for transporting many types of goods, but mostly wine. It usually has two handles for tying the jug down. An oinochoe is a wine jug with one handle. It has a lip that is used to pour wine.
