Object Description
A hand-loomed area rug. Orange background with black and multicolor stripe pattern repeated at the top and bottom of the rug. The pattern consists of three black lines followed by a green and white pattern, three solid colors (pink, red, green), a blue and white pattern, and an orange and black pattern. This order then repeats to complete the design that runs the rug's width. It has hemmed edges (black) and consists of two equal-sized panels sewn together.
Origin
The rug was brought to the USA by Georgia Kotsiopoulos' mother. Made of sheered wool from the family sheep, hand spun and colored with natural dyes.

Although it is an area rug it could also be used as a blanket and or bedspread. It has both decorative and use value (its warmth).
