Object Description
Area rug, hand loomed (panels sewn together with white thread). Multicolored striped pattern (pink, dark orange, red, light blue/green, green, brown/red, pink, brown/grey and white, blue and pink and then it repeats, this pattern in its entirety repeats thrice for the whole width against the turquoise background. Hemmed edges.
Origin
Made by donor's mother. Brought to the USA by Georgia Kotsiopoulos' mother, Stamatia Kotsiakos. Hand spun and colored by natural dyes. Made of sheer wool from family sheep.

Although it is an area rug it could also be used as a blanket and or bedspread. It has both decorative and use value (its warmth).
