Object Description
Lace table runner. Hand crocheted, beige, geometric, floral design with six petals per flower. Each successive ring of petals is connected by stiching, there are two rings of petals with an outline around them. Regularly interspersed within the 4x11 array of large flowers are smaller 4 petaled flowers that fill the gaps. Connecting all the flowers are many criss-crossing threads.
Origin
Made by donors mother.

A lace table runner that serves the purposes of table runners today. They are decorative and can keep hot pots from burning the table. However it seems more likely that this was used for more decorative purposes because it is a delicate fabric.
