Object Description
Medium-sized ceramic saucer with a pink-beige background and embellished with a floral design outlined in brown and filled in different colors that is centered around the middle area for the cup, which has no design. Around the rim is a periwinkle undulating line. Underside of saucer is unpainted.
The pottery company's name, Keramikos, is an area located in Athens, Greece in the northwest area of the Acropolis. Keramikos is the potter's quarter of the city from which the English word "ceramic" is derived. This cup is not a collectable and does not appear to have the traditional black figure design.
