Lady's lime green straw pill box hat. Size 23. Light green straw hat with large straw bow. Straw pattern spirals out from center top. Interior band and edges of brim and bow are lined with darker green ribbon. Large tag at back reads "Mr. John Jr." in black and red script. The stitching along the tag has come loose and it is only held on in 2 places. There are a few stray threads sticking out along the interior band. Hat is discolored in a few places along the band with a small dark spot in center of back. There is some yellow discoloring along interior band. Hat has somewhat lost its shape, especially along the right side, front and top where it folds in toward the center.

Owned by Helen Stomas Mitchell (mother of Peggy Vranas) circa 1950's-1970's. Made by John Jr. in USA. Part of donation of 10 ladies' hats (1999.9).
