Object Description
Off-white linen placemat with cutwork. The thread used for the cutwork and around the edges is white. The edges are scalloped. The cutwork is composed of lines with thread going across it to form little boxes. There are also stem and leaf designs where the leaves have been cut out. The designs are symmetrical. There are also small dots in the design. The fabric is in the shape of three interlocking circles, with the circle in the middle being larger than the other two. There is cutwork in the middle of the smaller circles and on either side of the larger circle. In the larger circle, the cutwork design has three lines of three cutwork dots above it.
Origin
Erasmia Economou married Constantine Theodoropoulos on October 24, 1926 at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Chicago.
