Object Description
An ecru-colored women's satin shoe (pump) with 2 1/2" heel. One of a pair. The insole and lining are white leather, while the outsole is tan leather. The shoe is very narrow. According to the stamp on the inside, the shoes are size 8 1/2 AAA. There is a heel pad in the back of the shoe. On the inside of the shoe, the words "O'Connor & Goldberg" and "Chicago." are stamped on the insole and the impression of three nail heads is visible near the heel.
Origin
These shoes were donated by Catherine Bisioulis. They originally belonged to Becky Bisioulis. The shoes were made by O'Connor & Goldberg, which was a well-known Chicago shoe company in the early 1900s.
