Object Description
A handwoven wool and cotton blanket, mostly green in color. It features an all-over pattern of diamonds and ovals with a cream-colored background and deep green ovals and diamonds woven on top. The edges of the blanket are yellowing.
Origin
This is a bedspread or blanket, which was hand woven out of wool. It was made in Arvanito-Kerasia, a village in Greece.
Georgia Minneci, who donated the bedspread, was a WWII Marine Corps Veteran. She died in July of 2007.
