Object Description
64 x 82" handwoven magenta bedspread. Some stains. The base color of the blanket is white with pink designs on it. The design is a repeated pattern that consists of a diamond outline, surrounded by the outline of a circle on each of the diamond's sides (resulting in four circles around each diamond), with three lines going out on each side to connect to the side of the design next to it. In between the lines of this design, there are squares in white.
Origin
This was labelled as being a part of the "Greek Folk Art" Collection. It was used in the Greek Folk Art exhibit as loan item 22.1993.2. Blankets like these were sometimes handwoven and used as a part of a woman's prika.
