Object Description
A dark cream knit tea napkin, embroidered with blue thread around its edges. In the lower, lefthand corner there is an embroidered 90 degree angle in blue with several embroiderd sqaures along the outside, like the wall of a castle. Within that angle there are two blue flags with white clovers or crosses on them. The flags are on red flagpoles.
Origin
The flag on the napkin could possibly be the flag of the Free State of Icaria. The Icarian state flag is blue with a white cross. Icaria was a part of the Ottoma Empire until they organized a Turkish garrison for their independence in 1912. Icaria was a free state for five months of famine and poverty until the state became a part of Greece.
