Object Description
Large round beige with tapestry type 4" border. 7"x 8"center tapestry medallion with metallic thread tassel. 10" fringe tassel. There is a repeating design that looks like an arrow with wings, along with three squares that are connected diagonally. The main color in the tapestry design is red and a grayish brown. The border is topped with a red braid which comes to repeated points. The central design is the same as the border, but it is shaped like a diamond if the top and bottom points were inverted. There are braided loops on the other corners, and the red braid surrounds the entire thing. There is a flower in the middle that is the same grayish brown of the designs. the tassel is the same color, but in a more metallic form. The tassel has sequins on the end. There are also small pink flowers on part of the handle, which is sewn to the pillow.
Origin
This pillow was used as an ottoman, as in a low seat or a footstool.
