Object Description
A decorative, handmade table mat. The mat was done in petit point in triangular patterns around the edge of the cloth. The very edge is bordered in red and gold diagonal stripes. The triangle designs are done in color blocks of red, pink, one gold line, pink and then red. The triangles are separated by unembroidered fabric and the center is an unembroidered diamond.
Origin
Donated by Coula Papadatos. The mat is done in petit point or tent stitch which is a small diagonal needlepoint stich used for fine detail.
