Object Description
Square beige tablecloth. Embroidered brown bird design in the corners. Yellow flowers cross-stich. Around the edge, there are two red lines with a green zigzagging line in between, with yellow dots in between the green lines. There are L shapes of green in each corner with yellow designs. Above this design, there is a red bird with light green and yellow accents standing on a brown branch. The bird has four blue flowers around it, three of which have yellow centers and one of which had a green center. Above this design, there are four leaves, which, when connected to the leaves of the other corners, forms a square in the middle.
Origin
Demetre Papadatos was the donor's mother. The donor states: My father when he met my mother he immediately believed that she was to be his wife. He had two gold coins, which he had melted down and turned into wedding rings. He had his name put inside her ring and her name put inside of his ring. Her father arrived in 1912, and her mother arrived in 1914, when they got married.
