Object Description
Light beige runner-cutwork design. Flowers inside circular design with cutwork stripes curving from both sides. There is a border of circular lacelike flowers around the outside. On each of the short ends, there is a cutwork circle with a six petaled flower in the middle. On either side of the circle, there are three stripes. The thread of the cutwork is done in white.
Origin
This table runner was handmade by Dionysia Papadatos for Coula Papadatos' Prika. A prika is like a dowry, or the stuff that a woman would take with her once she has married and moved out. It consisted of linens made for the new couple's home.
