Object Description
White table or dresser runner. On each side there is what appears to be a vase with flowers overflowing out of it toward the center. There are also flowers in each corner, and curving lines with horizontal threads across them going along the sides. At the end of these lines, there is a flower with three circles above it, which comes close to the middle. The table runner is symmetrical down the middle. The flower vase has a four-petaled flower on it.
Origin
This table runner was made for Coula Papadatos' Prika by her cousin, Dionysia Papadatos. A prika is like a dowry, or the stuff that a woman would take with her once she has married and moved out. It consisted of linens made for the new couple's home.
