Object Description
Pink chiffon, hand painted woman in costume. Souvenier from the island of Rhodes. The cloth is very transparent. The hand painted woman in the corner is wearing a dress with blue accents and blue stockings. There is also gold on her dress and on the pot under her left arm. Her headscarf is green. At her feet, it says "Rhodos". There is grass around her and in the two corners nearest to her. The flowers are blue, red, and yellow.
Origin
Rhodes is the largest of the Dodecanese islands. It contains the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
