Object Description
Square cream pillowcase. Three diagonal crocheted strips. Initials DP in Greek done in embroidery and cutwork ruffled edge, with crocheted edging on three sides. The majority of the piece has a blue hue. The letters have white embroidered flowers around them.
Origin
Demetre Papadatos was the donor's mother. The donor states: My father when he met my mother he immediately believed that she was to be his wife. He had two gold coins, which he had melted down and turned into wedding rings. He had his name put inside her ring and her name put inside of his ring. Her father arrived in 1912, and her mother arrived in 1914, when they got married.
