Object Description
Cream colored square with four pointed star design in center, scalloped trim. In between the star's points, there is a grid-like design. The middle of the doily had a square in it, with trapezoids off of each edge, and triangle cutouts on top of the trapezoid.
Origin
Doilies are usually used as decoration or to protect furniture surfaces. They are characterized by their openwork, which allows the surface to be seen through them.
