Object Description
Square doily, eggshell white in color. It is hairpin technique and has fringe along the outside edge. The design looks like a starburst design, with threads radiating from the centers of small circles, where the edge of one circle intersects with the circle next to it. In between the circles, there are smaller starburst designs.
Origin
The hairpin technique is used to make lace and consists of a U shaped "hairpin" loom and a crochet hook. It is usually used to create a lightweight fabric.
