Object Description
White pillowcase with crocheted triangular edging decorative hem with openwork and sewn folds. At the edge of the pillowcase, there are diamond shapes crocheted out of white thread. Below this is a line with small vertical strips cut out, then two decorative folds where the fabric has been sewn over itself. This is followed by a latticelike cutwork pattern, then two more folds.
Origin
Cutwork is a process by which pieces of fabric are removed, then thread is used to reinforce the seams.
