The man in front of the counter on the left is on the phone, the man to his right stands behind the counter. There are various canned goods around the store, and a display case with meat to sell.

Framed photograph of Square Deal Grocery store (71st Street and Harvard Avenue, Chicago,) owned by Gus Theodoropoulos, father of donator, Constance Theodore, Photo includes Gus Theodoropoulos, his brother John on the right, and an unknown butcher behind the counter.
