Origin
This is a photo of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Chicago, IL. On the back of the photo is the name Angeline Eliakopoulos.

St. Demetrios was a military officer under the rule of Maximain. He converted people to Christianity before being arrested. During this time, Maximain was holding a single combat tournament with a giant man as his champion. Nestor, a follower of Demetrios, asked for his blessing and then beat the giant. Upon this victory, Maximain ordered Nestor beheaded and had his soldiers kill St. Demetrios. It is said that healing substance flowed from his body and that he still protects the town of Thessalonica, where he had lived.
