Object Description
Large color photo of the outside new SS Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church (1976-present). The sky is cloudy and blue. There is a sign for the church in the bottom right corner, with a round emblem on it. There are two spherical lamps with handicapped signs on either side of the church. The church has three large arches in the middle, with handrails leading up the stairs to them. They are slightly angled. On either side of the intrance, there are three arches without an enterance, as thought they are windows. There is a scalloped design along the top edge. The top of the church has a golden arch with a golden cross on it. The photo is on a black photoboard, and is outlined in white. The name "Paul Haas" is in the bottom right corner of the photoboard.
Origin
The Greek Orthodox Church is governed by a council of Bishops, called the Holy Synod. They are known for their tradition of iconography, and their use of the Divine Liturgy on Sundays.

Helen was the mother of Constantine. They are credited with placing Christianity at the heart of Western civilization. Helen is noted for her piety while Constantine was an Emperor in the Roman Empire when Christianity was becoming the dominant religion.
