Object Description
This photo contains one subject: Theodora Dennis. She is standing in a home in front of a doorway next to a table with books and a pot of flowers sitting on it. There is a mirror hanging on the wall. Theodora is wearing a green shirt with flowers pinned to her left side, and she has blue pants on. She is wearing white glasses and has grey hair. On the back of the photo is written "Theodora Dennis" along with marking from the printer brand "Kodak" "<6> A214919 C"
Origin
Theodora Paraskevopoulos Dennis was born in Manari, Greece, a small village near Tripoli. Theodora came to the US in 1911 when she was thirteen years old. Her brother Gus (Konstantinos) brought her and her three sisters Bessie (Basiliki), Anna (Annoula), and Mary (Kalomira).

Her father Panagiotis Paraskevopoulos (son of Nicholas) lived from October 16, 1841 to October 27, 1942. Her mother Catherine (Ekaterina) Catsavis (daughter of Demitrios Catsavis) lived from October 11, 1845 to July 5, 1954.

Theodora married Peter Dennis (name shortened from Deginopoulos) when she was 22 years old. Known children are: Angeline, George, and Tike.
