Object Description
A black-and-white photographic print. The photo depicts a bride and groom on their wedding day. The woman stands on the left, wearing a traditional white wedding dress and shoes. She is also wearing white glove and a frilly, white headpiece with a long veil hanging down her back. In her right hand is a bouquet of white flowers. The groom, on the right, is wearing a buttoned, double-breasted suit, likely dark gray or black. He is also wearing black shoes and a white, button-down shirt with a tie. He has a boutonniere and is holding a pair of white gloves in this left hand.
Origin
This photograph was donated by Nick Falakos. It is a picture of his mother, Melpo, and his father, Minas, on their wedding day. The wedding took place in Piraeus, Greece, likely sometime between the late 1920s and early 1940s.
