Object Description
A black-and-white photographic print. The photo depicts seven men sitting behind a table. Some of them are wearing military uniforms, while others are wearing suits. All but one of the men are wearing military side caps. The man on the far right is wearing a different kind of military cap. Many of the men have medals on their chests. There is a white cloth on the table, as well as several dishes of food. Each man has a plate and cup in front of him. There are four American flags behind the men and a window on the right wall. There is a raised platform behind the men, and someone can be seen sitting or standing on it.
The following is printed on the back of the photograph:
Edward's Photos

Origin
This picture was donated by Daisy Agres. The man on the far left appears to be John Agreostathes. Agreostathes (or Agriostathis) was born in 1879 and apparently served as an officer in the Greek army before immigrating to the United States. In the lead-up to the Balkan Wars, he organized and trained young Greek men in Chicago. In 1912, it is recorded that they were preparing to travel to Greece to take part in the conflict. This picture appears to be from an event for veterans, although it is unclear when, where, or who was involved. The text on the back suggests that the photo was printed in Chicago, so the picture may have also been taken there.
