Object Description
Photograph, black and white, of a group of men standing with two large trophies in front of them. Men wearing suits and buttoned shirts but holding athletic jackets. The man second from the right, back row, is holding his jacket and a basketball shaped patch with text "NHIBT Champs 1959" can be seen. Group appears to be standing in a gymnasium from the look of the wood floors with lines on them
Origin
NHIBT stands for National Hellenic Invitational Basketball Tournament, was founded in 1931 and is the oldest Greek basketball tournament in America

The writing on the back of the photo reads "Ypsilanti # 22 Sons of Pericles". Ypsilanti was a Chicago-based team. This photo shows the 1959 Ypsilanti team, who won the NHIBT championship that year
