Object Description
Large family portrait of the Sardounis family. The parents are seated in the middle surrounded by their family. The family is dressed formally. The photograph is in black and white and the studio has added touches of skin tone for the faces and hands of the people featured.
Origin
The parents are Father George Sardounis (whose hometown is Zakynthos, Greece) and Mary Petas (whose hometown is Patras, Greece). The children are James, Christina (who was born in 1896 and is the donor's mother), Nicholas, Sam, Stephen, Alexander, and Steve.

The family lived in New York, then Lowell, Massachusetts, then Ely, Nevada, and finally Sacramento, California.
