Object Description
A black and white photograph of a young man laying in a bed. The bed is covered with white sheets. He is wearing a white shirt with a black collar. There are buttons down the collar. The boy has a cut on his head, and has his left arm resting on his stomach and his right arm resting above his shoulder, next to his head. There is a white curtain behind him. It seems as though he may be in a hospital.
Origin
Diane Frangos donated these photographs on behalf of her aunt, Angela Gatsos Demetrakakes, in memory of her maternal grandparents, Anthanasios Gatso and Ekaterina Makris Gatsos.

There is Greek writing on the back which translated reads,
"You are receiving this photo. Don't forget this fine young man who survived through a miracle. He warmly kisses you on the eyes."
His name was Banos.
