Formal portrait of Colonel Peter N. Derzis in Army uniform.
Origin
Colonel Derzis, a native of Birmingham, AL, served 32 years in the military, a majority of them spent in the Army Inteligence. He served as commandant of teh US Army Intelligence School at Fort Holabird in Baltimore for 3 years until his retirement in 1966. His military honors include the Legion of Merit.
