Object Description
View of part of the exterior of the USS Willis, commanded by Lieutenant George P. Sotos, after a few days in a North Atlantic blizzard. The ice had to be promptly removed b/c it could destabilize the ship.

The photo was donated by Capt. George P. Sotos of USN. George also commanded the ship USS Willis where this photo was taken. Circa 1943-1946.
