Two torpedo tracks made by torpedoes fired by the submarine seen in 1998.42.4 at the USS Willis (DE 395). The torpedo war heads are filled with water and they were set to pass beneath the USS Willis during these exercise manuevers.
Donated by USN Capt. George Sotos. The photo was taken in 1945 on the USS Willis during a torpedo manuevers exercise in the Southwest Pacific Ocean.
