Frances Gallis was born on Aug. 3, 1917 in Chelsea MA. She enlisted in the US Navy on March 9, 1943 and served as an apprentice seaman for the duration of the war. She served in NOP Boston, MA, USNT (WR) Bronx, NY, USNH Chelsea, MA, USNH Newport, RI, USN Dispensary, Washington DC, US Naval Barracks, Washington DC, US Naval Hospital, Great Lakes, IL
She recieved an Honorable Discharge on Aug. 20, 1945 from the US Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL. She was discharged as a Pharamacist's Mate Third Class.
She passed away in October 1997
