A hand-colored wedding portrait. A bride and groom are standing in front of what appears to be a fireplace. There are a pair of tall candelabra, one on either side of the fireplace. Standing in front of the left candelabra is the bride. She has short, dark, curly hair. She is wearing a fairly simple, white, long-sleeved wedding dress with a long white veil and a very long train. In her hands is a large bouquet of white flowers. To her left (camera right) is the groom. He has short, dark hair and a thin, dark mustache. He is wearing a tuxedo with a a white bow tie. There is a white handkerchief in his pocket and a white boutonniere in his lapel. To the left of the couple (camera right), there is a bouquet of pink and white flowers on the floor. There are two more bouquets on the other side, one on the floor and one sitting on a pedestal. Part of an ornate door is visible a the far left of the photo. Most of the photo has been hand-colored. The only parts that remain in black and white are the bride and groom's clothing, the groom's boutonniere, and the bride's bouquet.
This is the wedding portrait for Peter and Anna Sarantos. Their wedding was held on November 10, 1935 in Gary Indiana at the St. Constantine Orthodox Church.
