Object Description
Formal portrait of members of "The Phalanx" with Bishop Gerasimos and unidentified priest. Anastasis Zafiratos, father of donor is 4th from right. The men are standing in a line in front of a church alter. In front of them is a small table with a lace linen on it and two candles.
Origin
Donated by Judge James Zafiratos. Veterans of Greek Wars (Greeks in America who had returned to Greece to fight in wars that Greece was engaged in. Balkan War, WWI, etc. The group was known as "The Phalanx", circa 1940-1949.
