This is a photograph of The Acropolis circa 1900 from Philorappos Hill in Athens. It was bought by Christina Kafkis on her way to Chicago to marry Dan Lagos circa 1912. It was donated by Nicholas Kafkis.

Philopappos Hill is Southwest of the Acropolis. It was once known as the Hill of The Muses, but now gets its name from the monument which stands on it. The monument is in honor of Gaius Julius Antiochus Philoppapus, who was a popular Roman Consul of Athens.
