Object Description
A black and white formal portrait of a man and a woman. The man is seated on the right. He is wearing a black suit, a white button-down collared shirt with a black tie, and has a white handkerchief in his pocket. He is wearing a ring on his left ring finer. The woman is standing next to him, she is wearing a black dress with embroidery down the middle. She is wearing a beaded necklace, watch. earrings, and a ring on her left ring finger. She has her arms resting on the man's right shoulder.
Origin
Angie and Bill Demakis donated these photographs in honor of Andrew Nicholas Calas.

Andrew Calas' real family name was Kalogridakis, they were from Crete. In 1927 he married Chrysanthe Mazokapakis in Havana, Cuba. They settled in Chicago. He was a vetern of WWI and was gassed in the war. He died at Hines Veterns Hospital as a result of this injury.

The people pictured are unidentified.
