Anna Georgetson's mother was Nica J. Georgetson. She was the wife of the late John M. Georgetson, formerly of Port Allegany. Mrs. Georgetson was born June 13, 1913, in Goritsa, Sparta, Greece. She was the daughter of the late Gus and Anna Chronis Papageorge. She came to the United States in 1937 after her marriage to John in Greece and settled in Port Allegany. The extended family ran the Sugar Bowl, later known as Georgetson’s Restaurant and wholesale ice cream business.
