Object Description
Wedding portrait with bride and groom and guests. Outdoor setting. Pale sepia tone photograph of a group of people standing outdoors. The group is gathered for a wedding, with the bride and groom in the center of the front row. The subjects are all dressed in formal attire, men in suits, many with hats, and women in dresses with hats. There are a few children in the front, mostly young toddlers with one infant in the arms of a women standing next to the bride in the front row. Next to the groom, there is a Greek Orthodox priest. Photo matted in a cut crimson cardboard frame
Origin
Hand-writting on back of the photo, "PETRAKIS" written in all capital letters, in pencil in bottom left corner. Below it, slightly closer to the center, the words "First wedding 1916" is written in neat cursive in pen
