Object Description
Black and white photograph, copy Image of a woman (Jane Addams) sitting at a desk, writing. Actual image is a smaller circle in a border of white.
Origin
Jan Addams was the founder of Hull-House from 1889 until her death in 1935. Hull-House served as a 'home away from home' and Miss Addams as a 'mother' to the thousands of young Greek immigrant boys in Chicago. On the day of her funeral, all Greek owned businesses were closed in mourning.
