The executive council of the Hellenic League for the Molding of Young Men. The League was organized at Hull-House by the Greek community in 1908 to provide parliamentary and athletic experiences for young Greek men in Chicago. Hundreds of youth met regularly to participate in military drills under the direction of former Greek Army officers, the only such group to do so at Hull-House. During the Balkan War of 1912-13 large numbers of young men trained by the League returned to Greece to fight the Turks.
