Object Description
This black and white photograph shows Greek, Russian, Serbian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian and Syrian clergymen participating in Pan-Orthodox Day services, celebrating Chicago's 100th birthday at the 1933 "A Century of Progress" World's Fair. The church served as a community-building apparatus for newly-arrived immigrants, and this event brought together Orthodox Christians to celebrate their new-found home in Chicago.
